Let's Meet @ an Industry Event:
Quaternary pyridinium salts used in corrosion inhibitors will excite in the UV and emit in the visible range. Wilson's instrumentation can be used to identify the presence and concentration of the intrinsically fluorescent corrosion inhibitors with a 1 ppm detection limit. The only sample prep necessary is filtration and dilution. Measurements can be taken to a nearby lab with the LabBox or Open Platform System (OPS). Fluorescence in regards to corrosion inhibitor detection provides the high accuracy of HPLC testing and better detection limit then the Chloroform Etraction method.
Fluorescence Advantages
Capable of detecting ppm levels of petroleum and its conjugated aromatic compounds in water
The only sample preparation necessary is filtration and dilution
High accuracy of HPLC testing and better detection limits then the Chloroform Extraction method
Corrosion inhibitors containing fluorescent imidazoline can be exited in the UV to emit in the visible. Wilson's instrumentation can thus be used to identify the presence and concentration of the fluorescent corrosion inhibitors. using the LabBox, or Open Platform System (OPS) which allows for various configurations, measurements can be studied in a nearby lab allowing for more frequent measurements of CI Residuals.
